Brabus Selling 6.5 Sports Sedan Based on the W124 Mercedes-Benz E500 with Just 252km on the Odo

The W124 is if not the best, one of the best mid-size models ever to be produced by Mercedes-Benz. It's subtle yet timeless styling remains fresh today, almost 20 years after its presentation back in 1985, and let's not forget that this Mercedes became famous for being built like a tank.

There was even a performance version named 500 E from 1990 to 1993 and E500 from 1994 to 1995, which was developed in close cooperation with Porsche. In fact, Porsche actually hand built the cars at its Rossle-Bau plant in Zuffenhausen, Germany.

The E500 was powered by a specially tuned 5.0-liter V8 engine rated at 322hp (326PS) at 5,700 rpm and 480Nm (354 lb-ft) at 3,900 rpm, allowing for a zero to 100km/h (62mph) sprint time of 5.5 seconds and a top speed of 260km/h (162mph).

Some of the E500s landed in the hands of Mercedes-Benz tuning specialist Brabus, which turned them into the "6.5", named after the larger displacement of the heavily massaged V8 engine.

Brabus' 6.5-liter unit develops 444hp (450PS) pushing the W124 to 100km/h (62mph) from rest in 5.2 seconds and on to a top speed of 285km/h (177mph).

We discovered a "6.5" that has covered only 252 kilometers (157 miles) offered for sale by Brabus. The German tuner doesn't really provide any details on the car as we don't even know what year it is, let alone the price, with the company simply stating that those interested should send them an email or give them a call directly for more information.

Ovaj sto je Scuderia postavio mi je nekako lepsi, iako nije Brabus cini mi se?

Nisam baš pratio W124, ali simpatično izgleda.

Kakva zver od auta. U ovom sto sam ja stavio je cini mi se neki lud motor od 7-8l. Probacu da iskopam ceo projekat.

Koliko se secam Xeroj je to kacio pre na VG forumu. Inace najveci motor sto je Merc ugradjivao je bio 7,3l...

Evo ovde pise o tom 7.3 motoru, isao je fabricki u SL, ovo je Brabus nesto doradjivao...

U domenu realnosti Skoda 110R, a u domenu maste Porsche 911 930 ili Countach LP400.

Taj AMG V12 7.3 litre je poslednji put ugradjen u SL73 AMG
Imao je 525ks 1995. godine. Ukupno je napravljeno 83 komada...
Taj isti motor se nalazi u najjacim verzijama Pagani Zonde gde je isao od 555 do 760ks.

Mercedes 124 je po meni nesto sto se desava jednom i nikada vise
Ti 500E su bili brutalno skupi,proporcionalno mnogo skuplji nego danasnji AMG modeli... Kasnije je bila opcija da se od strane AMG-a zameni taj motor sa 6.0l AMG motorom,pa je takodje velika vecina danasnjih 500E zapravo sa tim 6.0 motorom i jos nekim prepravkama od strane AMG-a...

Imao sam ponudu da kupim jedan super E500 za 15.000e kada sam trazio da kupim nov automobil i mogu vam reci da sam se zaista debelo razmisljao,ali troskovi vozenja takvog necega bi bili preterano veliki za moje potrebe...
